Water can actually kill you!

So in biology we read an article on how to much water is actually bad for you, and you can actually die from it. Too much water puts pressure on your kidneys so you can actually loose a kidney too. Although there are tons of articles saying we need at least 8 cups of water a day, well that's really not true and can actually make you very unhealthy. The average human should consume at least 4 cups of water a day. In California a woman actually died because she went on a radio contest and competed in drink a gallon of water, she went home and died because all the water went straight to her brain... So i'm a little shock that drinking too much water can actually kill you, because i read in a magazine that drinking tons of water keeps your metabolism high and you can actually loose weight, and the water takes all the fat in the food, and it liquefies it so you just flush it out of your system.
